About SkinWeb

What is SkinWeb?

SkinWeb is a free site for Counter-Strike 2 skins. The trade forum is where players swap skins with each other through Steam trade offers. Webber compares the price of every skin across eleven markets, among them Steam, CSFloat, Buff163 and Youpin, and shows most weapon skins in 3D at any float and pattern seed. The inspect servers let you hold any skin, with any float, seed, stickers and charm, on a real CS2 server without owning it. There are also the CS2 pet chickens in 3D, a render studio that puts your skins in a 3D scene, Guess the Wear and an export of any skin's model and textures. SkinWeb does not sell skins, does not buy them and never holds your items.

Is SkinWeb free to use?

Yes, all of it. Listing, making offers and trading on the forum cost nothing and SkinWeb takes no cut. Price comparison, the 3D viewer, the inspect servers, the render studio, Chickenspect, Guess the Wear and the asset export are free too. The trade itself is a Steam trade offer between two players, which Steam does not charge for either. If you buy a skin on one of the markets Webber links to, that market's own fees apply there.

Is SkinWeb a CS2 gambling or case-opening site?

No. SkinWeb is a price comparison and a trade forum for Counter-Strike 2 skins. Nothing on it takes a bet: there are no cases to open, no coin flips, no roulette and no loot boxes. Guess the Wear is a free game with a leaderboard, and it costs nothing to play.

How do I contact support or report a bug?

Email [email protected] for support questions, bug reports, wrong prices, or anything else about the site. You can also reach us on X at @skinwebio. Include the page URL and, for a trade issue, the trade link so we can look it up.

Floats and wear

What is a float value in CS2?

The float value is a number from 0 to 1 that sets how worn a skin looks. Lower floats look cleaner and usually cost more. Many finishes only cover part of that range; the AWP Duality, for example, stops at 0.80. SkinWeb shows the float range for every skin, lets you see it in 3D at any float in that range, and shows the exact float on trade forum listings when it is known.

What do Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred mean?

They are the five wear names CS2 gives a skin based on its float. Factory New is 0.00 to 0.07, Minimal Wear 0.07 to 0.15, Field-Tested 0.15 to 0.38, Well-Worn 0.38 to 0.45 and Battle-Scarred 0.45 to 1.00. Not every skin covers the whole range. Two Field-Tested skins can look quite different, so check the float, not only the name.

How can I see a skin in game before I buy it?

Build it in the inspect generator, or paste a Steam inspect link into the converter, then connect to one of SkinWeb's inspect servers and type the code in chat. The game hands you the skin with the float, seed and stickers you chose. You do not need to own it. When you are signed in, every skin page also has a Spawn in server button that does this for you.

Prices

How does CS2 skin price comparison work on SkinWeb?

Each skin page shows the price on every market that has it, side by side, with a link to each listing and a history of the lowest price. Most markets are refreshed every five minutes; Steam, Buff163 and Youpin every twelve hours. The Steam number is the average sale price over the last day, since Steam has no single asking price. In Webber you can filter the whole catalogue by wear, rarity, colour and price.

Should I buy skins on the Steam Market or on a third-party market?

The Steam Market is the simplest, but Steam adds a 15 percent fee, the money stays inside Steam, and it is often not the cheapest. Third-party markets like CSFloat and Buff163 usually list the same skin for less and pay out real money, with their own fees and a Steam trade to receive the item. Webber shows the price on all of them for every skin, so you can decide per skin.

Trading safely

Is trading CS2 skins on SkinWeb safe?

Trades happen through Steam trade offers between the two users. SkinWeb adds a trade forum, direct offers, and real-time chat so you can negotiate and agree terms before anything is sent. Always confirm the trade details on Steam itself.

How do I avoid CS2 skin trade scams?

Accept trades only in Steam's own trade offer screen and confirm them only in the Steam Mobile app. Read every item on both sides, including wear and stickers, before you confirm. Never log in to Steam through a link someone sent you, never give anyone a Steam Guard code, and never hand a skin to a middleman you did not ask for. If the other side is in a hurry, that is the signal to stop.
