How price alerts work

A price alert watches one skin's cheapest listing across the 12 markets SkinWeb compares and tells you when it drops to the price you set. It is free and needs a Steam sign-in.

How to track a skin's price

  1. 1

    Open the skin's page

Search for the skin or find it on the CS2 skin prices page, then pick the wear and the StatTrak or Souvenir version you want. The alert follows that exact item.

  2. 2

    Press Price alert

Enter the price you would buy at. The skin goes on your wishlist with that target, and you can change or remove it from the same button.

  3. 3

Get told when it is reached

Prices are checked every 10 minutes. When the best price is at or under your target you get a notification on the site, and an email too if you have confirmed an address and left wishlist emails on in Settings.

Questions about price alerts

Which price does the tracker watch?

The lowest price across every market SkinWeb follows, the same best price the skin's page shows. Steam counts as its recent average sale price, and prices far out of line with the other markets, such as placeholder asks, are left out so they cannot trigger an alert.

How often are prices updated?

Nine markets are read every 5 minutes, and Steam, Buff163 and Youpin every 12 hours. Alerts are checked every 10 minutes against the latest prices.

Will I get an alert every time the price moves?

No. An alert fires once. It arms itself again only after the price has climbed more than 5% above your target and 12 hours have passed, so a price hovering at the line does not send a stream of messages.

Is the price tracker free?

Yes. Setting alerts is free; the only requirement is signing in with your Steam account.

Can I see how a skin's price changed in the past?

Every skin page has a price history chart of its lowest listed price, saved twice a day, with the period's low and high. The price movers page lists the skins that rose or fell the most over the last day or week.
